Anyone with a Newsblues account out there? Do you mind feeding the details on a headline from Tuesday, 11/13 regarding a virtual newscast at a Georgia station???

is partnering with the local newspaper to provide content for an online newscast as well as one that is fronted by anchors in Iowa.

I'm assuming that's what it's all about.

It was covered last week http://www.medialine.com/ubb/NonCGI/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=6;t=001448

Crappy little WLTZ-38-NBC in Columbus, GA (Market #128), launched "virtual" 30-minute newscasts at 6 and 7 p.m. Monday and an 11-minute newscast at 11 p.m.

The station's entire news department, which has been out of the local news business since 1993, consists of three people. Newscasts are produced and read by a team of anchors at the Independent News Network in Davenport, Iowa.

Most of the reporting is being done by the 55-person newsroom at the local newsrag, The Ledger-Enquirer.
