Using pidgin (or any other chat client) - this won't interfere with your IEMChatting.

Go to Accounts / Add.

Click +ADD

Select IRC protocol, pick a screenname and make up a password. Leave everything else alone.

Then go to BUDDIES / ADD CHAT.

Pull down your account to select the IRC one (won't work if you leave it set to your IEM account info)

Channel = #wxline
Password = leave blank

yeah, select "manage" then click "add" and follow the instructions in the first post on the threat.
