WMC-TV, Memphis, TN...PEGGY PHILLIP has resigned as ND after eight years to pursue other opportunities. Peggy's also worked in Chicago, Boston, Tulsa and Reno, NV. WMC is, of course, the NBC station in Memphis and is owned by Raycom.
Long ago, Peggy asked me to come to Memphis to interview for a job. She and I traded several emails and phone calls... but her offer came just as another job in my hometown became available so I begged off.
But having been in job search mode on and off for 20 years, I can say I've dealt with few News Directors who were more honest, open and respectful in the interview process.
I've also read her old blog frequently. She seems like a fun lady to work for.
Peggy, I wish you luck in the future.
