To those of you who have re-signed at the same station... what was your pay increase for the same position? For Example:

Making $50K when contract 1 expired and re-signed at $55K for contract 2, year 1 (or a 10% raise).

I'm more interested in a % increase.

Thanks! smile.gif

I experienced a range of %s. (Trying to remember here, it's been quite a few years) one contract gave me a 6-7% increase another gave me less than 3%. All at the same station. It depends on who you negotiate with - and other influences. Guess which of the above figures happened in the years before 9-11 and which happened after.

I was on 32K, 35K, 38K contract. I re-signed at the end of my second year for a new three year deal. The 38K was replaced by 52K and that third year of the old contract became the first year of the new contract. The second and third years of the new contract were 56K and 62K. Same job.

A lot of places are now on a strict 3% diet.

3-5% is pretty standard.... closer to 3 at most places.

if you're getting anything above 5, you're doing well (at least by TV standards).
