A while back, I heard the Fox station in Burlington was hiring a news director to build a newscast. Anyone know how that's coming? Are they hiring reporters yet?

It was announced a while back that a company out of Boston, I believe, purchased the FOX affiliate in Burlington and would use the old WVNY studio to produce a newscast. I haven't heard anything, but did read on some random website that'll it be a while before anything happens.
And yes, they do have TV in Vermont- and the two stations there are pretty solid.

I don't think 44/22 news will get off the ground. The ad has been up there for months.
VNY flopped twice. NNE 23yrs and master/news gets gutted. The twin states can't financially support more news departments.
However, the combined resources/advertising sales could help to make the two strong enough to atleast fight for a while.
