Greetings,
A quick navigation bar has been added to all forums so that members can quickly jump back and forth between them.
It appears at the top of the recent visitors list on every page, as shown in this screenshot:

Where do we discuss Christmas memories, who is losing the MediaLine Fantasy football game.
Where does HushHush whine about Dyckerson being... a ah, Dyck?
BRING BACK OPENLINE!
I'm tired of this division... America is too divided already.

I'm hoping to be the first to be banned in all three forums simultaneously.

If you get banned from the Political Forum, would anyone notice?

And that's not a bad thing.

Sharpen that sword of yours, babe, because you're going to be falling on it sooner than later.

Todd, just to let you know some of us do like the new set up. I use the nav bar every time i visit. And yes there do seem to be fewer over all post but that is OK with me. Takes less time to find out that there really isn't anything important being batted around...

By my standards, you are probably one of the worst offenders.
This begs the question, what should I believe, your above quote or my own lying eyes? Hmmmm...

Um, what's a shill and a troll?A shill is a plant, someone who is working for a particular organizing but tries to blend into a crowd to appear to be one of the crowd. The term is often associated with old time sales pitches, where a snake oil salesman would have a shill in the audience to ask the "right" questions to create an appearance of audience participation and get the potential buyers pumped up. The shill may even "buy" something enthusiastically to help break down potential customers' reluctance.
You also see shills used in politics, where someone on a politician's payroll may show up at a "town hall meeting" pretending to be a local citizen with no affiliation. Those really convenient questions that Bush answers at public appearances are often submitted by shills. We undoubtedly have had shills here from the political parties pretending to be either members of the media or general public, and some of them were responsible for the problems we were having with political threads.
A troll is just someone trying to piss off other people. That person is "trolling" for responses by putting out bait in the form of inflammatory comments. Many of the political comments and threads are nothing but trolls by people just trying to stir up anger.
Shills can also be trolls, and vice versa. Lord knows we have a few people here who are both.
