most people in eugene don't stick around for a long time, but there's quite a few "lifers" at KVAL. just driving to the place is an adventure as you wind through a mountain road to the station, which is situated on top of a hill. watch out for the deer and be careful in the winter as getting out of the parking lot can be a bit dicey when the roads get icy.
