This article is such amazing arrogance on the NFL's part:

The NFL can get away with this for a while, but everyone's reign eventually ends.
See Baseball, Major League.

The NFL isn't going out of business any time soon, and they know it. The owners are laughing at you.

why can't they "get away with" it?
they own the team.
they own the practice facility where the interviews are shot.
you're a guest on their turf.
they can tell you to do whatever they like.
you, in turn, can decide NOT to cover their product.
see how your viewers respond to that.

I thought this stuff was already banned or severely limited...I'll have to go re-read the back of my credentials.

The NFL is arrogant... but they can be because they are the top dog right now. Being one of those who was pissed about the sideline thing last year (which really didn't matter afterall since my station does the coaches show and shot from the sideline anyway)... I could care less if stations can't put any NFL content on web pages, to me that just means viewers who actually WANT to see postgame interviews or presser/post-practice interviews will have to watch the sportscast. I don't see how that's a bad thing. As much as the internet is this sh|t right now.. we're still in television business last I checked.
If the NFL was getting a cut from stations or any website that put their content on it, the NFL would be fine with it.
Bottom line is the NFL wants their product making money for them and only them... at least as much as it can given current TV contracts. This is why they started their **** ass NFL network and started putting games on Thursdays that half the country can't see. If the day ever comes when the majority of the U.S. can't see NFL games because they're on some in-house network... they'll be just what the NHL is now, begging for people to watch.
The idiots that run the Big Ten are about to get a crash course in this logic next football and basketball season.
