Newsblues has had two nexstar stories in the last two days. Anybody have an idea whats up? I dont pay for site access. Story #1 was about a small market sports guy being sued over a non-compete and the other was about the "for sale " signs being taken down on Nexstar stations. Info please! I can find this info elsewhere.

Nexstar files suit over Noncompete Agreement:

Mattingly: 'The Show Will Go On' Following Lawsuit

From Nate Hinkel at ArkansasBusiness.com

Just hours after Nexstar Broadcasting Group filed a noncompete lawsuit and a preliminary injunction to get former sports director Bo Mattingly off the radio airwaves, the former "Razorback Nation" anchor says the show will go on.

Mattingly and Cumulus Broadcasting LLC were named Friday in a lawsuit filed by Nexstar claiming that the broadcaster was violating a noncompete agreement. The lawsuit also said Mattingly and was in breach of his contract with the company by launching a sports talk show this week less, than one month after he resigned from his television post. Nexstar also filed a preliminary injunction to keep the show off the air.

"I'm going to do my job and let my attorneys do theirs," Mattingly said. "For me it's going to be business as usual."

That includes hosting "Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly," which airs on KFAY-AM, 1030, in Fayetteville, which is owned by Cumulus.

Joe Conway, general manager at KFAY, said he learned of the suit Friday after Mattingly called him, and that he had not yet been served. Conway said Mattingly is not an employee of Cumulus, therefore the station should not be involved.

"I don't see how anyone could be under the impression that Bo is an employee of ours," Conway said. "We're simply an affiliate that happens to carry his show."

Nexstar owns KATV-TV, Channel 4, in Little Rock and KNWA-TV, Channel 51, in Fayetteville, both of which aired Mattingly's sports broadcasts.

If your speaking of Bill T. I understand that Deathstar made him buyout the remainder of his contract. Even given the fact that he was leaving broadcasting altogether. It was reportedly somewhere in the range of $20k.

Sorry lot, that Nexstar Group.

Nexstar Broadcasting Group I. NXST (NASDAQ GM) $8.26 They were $15 bucks in July.

If I considered the framed share of Nexstar stock I have in my office anything besides decoration, I'd be 7 bucks poorer.

Of course, I did buy it at 4 bucks.
