I'm beginning to hate the NFL as much as I hate the SEC.

Hate Time Warner and Cablevision...don't hate the NFL...I'll be watching the game on COX in my town...

Consider This

The NFL wants cable systems to pay it premium rates per subscriber yet still carry its network on basic cable. It wants all cable subscribers to pay for a channel devoted not just to sports but to one sport.

The NFL appears to be on the verge of achieving the previously impossible: Making cable TV companies look like the good guys.

Why should Time Warner and Cablevision force their subscribers to pay more for something most don't want to watch.

'bengal' wants to watch it...as will many others when they realize it's the only place to see a game (i.e. Thanksgiving Night game this year...)

How come most other cable companies have figured it's worth it to put it on a tier....

Tell cable companies to dip into their secret money maker (i.e. local ad sales)...and give the consumer something for a change...

why is NFLN carrying a college game? Isn't there a battle of the NFC Cheerleaders that week.

The NY metro area certainly cares about Rutgers--the first legitimate national contender from the region in decades.

Rutgers DID get screwed in this bowl selection. Some lesser nationally ranked schools got better bowls, despite RU's great success this season. I guess it will take another terrific year like this one to convince the naysayers, but you wouldn't have to convince WVU or Louisville about Rutgers' level of play.
