Any information on them? Have you ever been contacted by them? Have you ever got a job offer because of them? Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I heard from them about four years back. Sent them a tape several months ago. But never got any bites from them. I'd say they are duds in this competitive market. Stick with Talent Dynamics or Magid or someone else. Or just rely on yourself. That's how I've gotten my interviews. TD got me only one, and just a handle full of looks, nothing solid. But experience is not what managers are looking for. They want cheap and brainless. And I'm not cheap, brainless talent.

The non cheap and brainless seekers are a VERY small subset, and best found by individual sleuthing. Boy that lesson only cost me a couple thousand bucks this year :)

Seriously people, what does it hurt to send them a tape? Why the hell not? You don't pay them anything, are you stupid? I sent Broadcast Image tapes when I was job-hunting and they landed me several interviews. The jobs weren't necessarily small potatoes, they ranged from 55K to 80K. I was also was working with Magid and Talent Dynamics. You never know which of these firms represents the client that may be looking for what you have to offer. I did not end up taking either of the Broadcast Image offers, but I also didn't take the TD or Magid jobs that came my way either. I was still happy to have yet another avenue for exposure.

Send them a tape. It costs you nothing but postage. And more people seeing your tape is a good thing. And yes, I do know people who've gotten bites that way. Not sure about actual jobs, but some leads if nothing else.

Send them your tape.... it only costs you 50 cents for the tape and $4.00 to send it.. if that much. The more people see you the better, sending a tape to Broadcast Image Group is just as good as sending it to a job opening that you never hear anything from.

Don't expect much from TBIG... that way you won't be disappointed.
