Has any news organization done an investigative piece on the new US Embassy in Iraq?

I keep hearing bits and pieces about this. First, what chain of command approved this? Second, what friends of Bush are profiting from the construction of it?
Third, what is its real purpose?

BTW, aren't we also constructing an air force base on Iraqi soil as well?

I'm curious to know what type of security measures will there be not only for our people at the embassy but inside the "green" zone. I understand the US is pulling almost everyone out of the green zone for the embassy.

How can you do a TV investigation of something you cannot take pictures of?
