There are threads that say that TV jobs don't pay very well. What about a host on QVC? How much do they make? How much does someone like Finola Hughes on a show like What Not to Wear make? Do set designers that work behind the scenes make more money? What do you do on TV? What is your salary?

My job pays me in sunshine... and the occasional free extra coke from the vending machine.

Some local TV jobs pay anchors (and even reporters) lots of $$$, other pay in sunshine and store coupons. You can find anchors in 100+ markets making 3 times the money a reporter in a top 25 market is making. It's hit and miss. As far as national/cable networks, I have no idea.

Even in Bozeman, Montana it's equivalent to $145K.
But thanks for playing.

Less than a Cabinet-level Official, but more than an Undersecretary.
Not in TV anymore, though. graemlins/eusa_shifty.gif

this is a place is mostly for news. I'm not sure what sites can tell you about "regular" TV shows.

Brit, I've done work with "regular" shows as well as news. And there's one lesson I've learned.
TV should be practiced by those who cannot help themselves. If money matters, find another job.

Let me put it this way... my salary would be great if it wasn't for living in one of the most expensive housing markets in the country.

My rent is $1500. graemlins/eusa_shifty.gif
It's gonna be higher when I move into a newer, swankier bachelor pad in late spring.

I would consider $1500 expensive... especially for rent, not a mortgage.
