Sad story (http://youtube.com/watch?v=nL6IChadLsA) out of Perth, Australia about the suicide of a very popular 29-year-old anchor. Charmaine Dragun (http://youtube.com/watch?v=igGX0eaI1HQ) was quite big over there and appeared to have everything going for her.

RIP.

I tell you what...depression is nothing to take lightly. This is a good example...I mean, you've got a lady who was obviously well liked in her area and had much going for her(great job, hubby, etc), and threw it all away. I think suicide is a very selfish action...but the deep roots behind it are very scary. :(

Most suicides are the result of deep depression, a mental fog through which one is no longer thinking rationally.

How incredibly sad. I cannot imagine the type of pain and depth of depression that would prompt someone to take such a drastic step. I pray she is at peace.

Condolences to her family and friends.

They seemed more like an easy out than a medical/mental problem. But you're right, generalizing suicides as selfish is a little strong.

I'm with Angel and Matt on this. We don't know what demons haunted her inside. God's peace be with her family at this time.
