CUONTV...you're such a funny guy, what do you do on the weekends? OK, here's my joke... i'll have to edit a few words ... " So one day Mickey walks into court and says he wants a divorce from Minnie. The judge says, " Mickey, you can't divorce Minnie just because you think shes crazy. Mickey says, "CRAZY!?"I didn' say Crazy, I said she was fu**ing Goofy. " hehehe

Last night, I went to bed early (9 PM) in hopes of getting up early (3 AM) to get into work early (4 AM). Didn't quite work out that way and got into work at 7 AM.
Ah well...thank goodness for flexible schedules. Just means that my 12-hour shift today will get me home later, though. *sigh*

Well, theoretically it would be VERY difficult to break a record for the 29th of February. It isn't a very impressive rain amount, but it certainly is an interesting mention on this date.

We had 0.7" of snow this morning in Rockford. That was a record snowfall for the date; according to the RER, it's never snowed on Leap Day since records have been kept (1905). Very odd that it's never snowed on some 25 previous opportunities to do so.

Cool video of what my fiancee does for a living. Yes, she flies supersonic bombers and is known to make a lot of ruckus overseas. Kinda puts my job as a meteorologist into perspective. When I think I have had a bad day or that my hours suck, I'll sit back and think..we'll, it can't be as bad as to what they have to deal with fighting. You work 24 hours a day basically..with all sorts of weird hours. And, sitting in an ejection seat for 14 hours is never comfortable.

I would of loved it if it made it into my neck of the woods...sadly it did not.
I also like saying when it's in the 20s or 30s here at least it isn't like the -1 in Alliance.
